Successful artists who are depressed. I get it but it's still a bit hard to find sympathy.

Also he said in the article that his depression was mainly before Smashing Pumpkins got big. So like ... they had a slightly successful debut that was successful in their obscure music scene, then other bands ended up becoming much bigger than they could have ever thought was possible and he felt inadequate.

(maybe read the article next time eh?)

Course being successful doesn't mean you aren't depressed. See the biggest band of the 90's.

Being somewhat sociopathic, I only have a limited sympathy amount and I have to prioritize.

But yeah, depressed people tend to make great music [pause for consternated gasps]. Sparklehorse is my favourite example.

That makes sense i guess

I don't know personally I consider their second album not very good and I haven't gotten to this yet so idk if i'd say that Billy Corgan at least makes good music. They definitely have made some of my favorite songs ever tho.

I like a lot of the songs but I can't stand a lot of them also

I like it in the same way you like a Mcdonald's cheeseburger. It's absolutely disgusting but it goes down my mouth hole easy and it's digestible so it works i guess.

It's like a 2.5 tbh :/
