I actually dislike Turner's compositional approach right here for its sole impact on the 'post-metal'
genre as a whole. From being a heavy, [yet] different form of atmospheric sludge into generically
heavy post-rock with screamed/grunted vocals. Many young bands keep releasing sub-par Panopticons
every year. On the other hand; Oceanic is an incredibly idiosyncratic work with a moderately distinct,
personalized atmosphere. It will always be my favorite Isis record for that reason.
