as a vocalist, yeah, thats kinda hard to deny in terms of pure "talent" and even in terms of style
otherwise, nah but he's amazing. still feel like he hasn't reached his potential yet

so why is it called camouflage and not

Album Rating: 1.5
Rating chart is insanity for this album. A buddy of mine who this album makes no sense for absolutely loves it, and I'm generally much closer to this type of stuff and I find this insanely boring.
Feels like there must be secret instrumentation in a frequency I'm too old to hear or maybe a third earbud that is playing all the interesting parts. My two ears can only hear flat, boring scene Bastille.

that just means your ears are screwed on properly, carry on
|
| |
There must be some binaural beats layered that make this good to some people. Hypnotism or something. Cause this shit is not just dookie, but boring dookie. Like you smeared squirrel shit on a CD and bit into it like toast, but for your ears

^ gross metaphor, but kinda appropriate too

As this was, not hyperbolically, one of the worst things I’ve listened to (like, physical, abject “eew what the fuck” face), the gross highlights the lack of pleasure and total repulsion i felt

You're a Waterparks fan so you should be used to that lack of pleasure :^) (just for the record, that's a joke)
Ok but all jokes aside, other than the vocals being, well, different and unusual, I don't see it. The backing R&B instrumentals are quite serene and the way it crosses with the metal side just...works. Like it basically took Beautiful Oblivion by Issues and de-sucked it IMO, at least nothing here is as mind bogglingly shit as "Flexin" even if you're not a fan tbh

Nah, i love their music and I’m friends with the band and they’re great guys, so I’m happy all around. And it’s all good, Venin! I’m not upset

Personally I think they're really boring, but hey different strokes for different folks
But I feel like if you want truly shit jam flexin by issues and it would make this look like Jane Doe in comparison. That's what this would probably be if it was an abject failure.

I have a lot of fun with it ¯_(ツ)_/¯ have you heard this? Maybe you’ll like it https://youtu.be/eGD5DHnVpVk
Nothing could improve Sleep Token but changing everything

Hmmmm...nah. That song just makes me want to go back to nothing, nowhere instead. Song feels like his aesthetic got co-opted by Owl City vibe wise. In that they took it and turned it into a completely sterile feeling.

See, i don’t feel that way at all. And i can’t stand nothing, nowhere. So i think we’re just opposites on this one

Probably. For me n,n runs circles around it.
|
| |
Yeah, and i think n,n is the green shit on a public uniral 🤷
(I don’t know if this feels aggressive or not, but i don’t intend it to be)

Dunno all I know is this album helped me get off my ass and write some more stuff. Planning some ambitious new directions with my project and hoping they stick the landing.

Well, some luck to ya and hopefully the art turns out to be something you like

Thanks I appreciate it. I've always wanted to toy around with longer tracks and do a 1-song EP akin to... well, not the same style but what Meshuggah did with "I" back in the day.

Might be interesting! Like those 9 minute Coheed songs, but for an half an hour

Coheed is wonderful so that's a great template to look through but make it well my own thing
