Revisiting this for the first time in a couple of weeks. Still find it funny how much of a return to their old sound I initially thought Pale Horses was. A lot of this album is straight out of the mid-00's and it's glorious

Love the video for Julia. So quirky — honestly I’m just excited to see/hear anything attached to the mwY name

Best song of the year for me probably. Or maybe it's tied with Interpol's If You Really Love Nothing

I'm finding Julia to be the best here, which almost never happens with a single, but nothing here is as compelling or masterful. It plays to each and every one of the band's strengths in a way entirely unique.
With that said, Matadors, New Wine, New Skins, and Michael are so damn close to it that you can pick any of the four and I'll just be like "yeah, you're right."

Wendy and Betsy is on the top tier of this too, but you've got the best picks narrowed down.
I've had enough time to process this to say I confidently prefer Pale Horses though, discuss

I forgot 2,459 Miles/Wendy and Betsy.
That one too.

I don't particularly care for Matadors, maybe being portuguese and hearing my country's name said over and over again has something to do with that, dunno
