Young and Aspiring, A Boy Brushed Red, Dangerous Business, Receptive, and Crowbare are the ones I like to jam from TO S. The rest from that album is just not great to me anymore. I started jamming that album way less when DTGL came out

to me, DTGL takes TOCS and amplifies and executes it 10x better



DTGL has better instrumentals, more dynamic and interesting songwriting, better vocals (especially Spencer), better lyrics, better atmosphere

Also DTGL and LITSOS May have been more subtle but There are definitely references to God and Christianity

no worries, I didn't realize it was in that interview as well

These dudes really need to get over themselves if they're trying to convince people that their music was never about god though. Like seriously it's not a big deal that their music was christian

Besides it's not like their Christianity was ever a secret. Literally everyone knew about it and was fine with it, even non Christian fans

I still maintain that this is them setting up a "we found god again" album that'll be a return to form and a hard 5.
