I got all Ulver rated 3.5 or higher. Apart from Blake. I just like to pretend it doesn't exist.

I might do a proper Ulver discog run, as I’ve only heard 4 of their albums. That doesn’t seem sufficient.

Some amazing songs on the new record, slight bit of filler though.

The new one is like a lesser version of this, which is fine, but the closer is fantastic.

Do you remember a list going around the web with words to describe unnamed feelings? Ulver is the only band I know to have captured such feelings on record, with Perdition City, Blood Inside and Shadows of the Sun
|
| |
Shadows and perdition are easily their best. Blood inside and messe are prob 3rd and 4th for me

I feel that any music can be aligned with unnamed feelings tbh, but definitely get why you say that for those two in particular
Nice Gyro, got all their best albums right there

If Ulver are the only band to capture that feeling for you then may I suggest listening to more music (joking, but also not really).

I listened to Messe all the way through for the first time in a while and really enjoyed it. I like it only slightly less than this now
Wars and this are my favorite Ulver albums since Shadows of the Sun

@DemonoftheFall Or perhaps I've got a vast vocabulary to describe my feelings, dunno
But seriously, now that you brought it to my attention, no, it was hyperbolic to suggest that Ulver are the ONLY band. Certainly, they are one of the few.
