Literally every Metallica album since Justice has been 60-80 minutes, don't know why everyone is getting so worked up over the length.

Because all of those albums have been pretty bad.

ALA check out St. Anger. It's quite the experience.

I think Load is severely underrated tbh

It's honestly been such a long time since I've listened to Load/Reload.

And Frantic is one of the better tracks off that album too. Used to love St. Anger when I was like 10. The older I get the more it grows off me and now I'm getting to the point where I straight up dislike it.

But the production, oh my goodness…
Prob worst production I've ever heard.

Frantic's main riff is admittedly pretty fantastic but the execution of the chorus is just embarrassing. The album actually has some damn fine riffs, but the snare drum abortion and terrible vocals make it borderline unlistenable from front to back. You'll be hearing that trash can lid snare in your nightmares for a month.

I wouldn't say one of their best, but certainly decent.
God, Lars is the definition of fucking mediocre drumming.

Yeah I really do like the guitar work a lot, but that's a lot of "ifs." In 1986, though, it likely would've been excellent.

Still don't think the snare is that bad on St. Anger. The album would sound worse with a notmal sounding snare.
Also St. Anger production > Death Magnetic production

Metallica has honestly always had pretty bad production; neither RtL nor MoP were by any stretch excellently produced, but it's forgivable due to their undeniable quality.

"post Black Album James Hetfield wasn't one of the cringiest vocalists ever,"
Disagree hard, he's probably the most consistently good thing about those albums. Just wait until you hear late 90's Dave Mustaine for the first time.

The vocals on St. Anger are pretty damn bad. James does that weird yodel singing and it's just an all around unpleasant experience. Never really had too much of an issue with him on the other albums, though.
Also, Mustaine's vocals on Dystopia are legitimately some of the worst I've ever heard. His voice is completely shot.

James is consistently badass and never brings the cringe.

Think Dave was way better on Dystopia then Super Collider, which is like as low as you can possibly get.
Lol ALA don't put Daniel on the phone please

James is the Master of Puppets.
Kirk is the Disposable Hero
Cliff is Orion (God from the stars)
Lars is the Thing That Should Not Be.
