isn't this kind of...stale? like, it's really well executed, but it doesn't really bring anything they haven't bought before

How people find this completly stale?
Yeah it is surely stale from the point of incorporating new things in their music, but refining the quality of the things they've brought albums after albums is certainly not stale IMO.
As for the rating of this, it's pretty much going up and down for me..

i'm not saying i don't like it (hint: i do), but given their reputation for boundary-pushing and experimentation i was expecting something groundbreaking on this one too
maybe i'm asking too much for a band to innovate every album, i dunno

I see it as more of a collection and refinement of their past efforts. As someone who fucking loves
past Dillinger, that's perfect for me personally, but I can see why someone hoping for innovation or
novelty would find it disappointing.

Lol @ all the 5's. The vocalist totally ruins this band, it's a pity.

I think he can belt quite well, and his screaming isn't all that agitating.

he tries to impersonate mike patton a lot, which is annoying sometimes
|
| |
I've always loved all of his vocals
|
| |
but mike patton is awesome, so even a budget mike patton impersenator is better than most vocalists

Haven't much listened to Mike Patton, I need to get on that.
