Just cos they are passable today doesn't mean their old stuff wasn't classic.
Literally I've met people who are so flatout stubborn about admitting their love for Metallica just cos St Anger happened, so dumb.

omit it completely along with eotb and cut a couple minutes each off of t/t and tlitd and it would almost be up there with rtl

having listened to this an absolutely grotesque number of times throughout my life, my honest opinion is that frayed ends is the only track that could stand to be condensed a little – there was a time when i thought the t/t was too indulgent and meandering, but i really don't think you can take anything away from it

Seriously tho Metallica have a horrid stigma attached to them.
Imagine disregarding their ENTIRE discog cos of St Anger, like that's so egotistical from a fan perspective, especially if the said fan was a fan before that record.
It's definitely a meme to shit on Metallica nowadays.
