i'm shocked at how bad a lot of the lyrics are on that song and the album overall

newer thrice just clicks to me as largely bland these days, i don't find many reasons to come back

I love Wake Up except for the unholy abomination of a chorus
it's growing on me as well but not comfortable bumping it to a 4 yet, but i have liked it more on each listen

got my auto-rip download and I've been giving it a listen and this is actually better than I was expecting based on the reactions here and my own disappointment with Blood on the Sand. it's not quite what I expected from Thrice but it's a pretty damn solid alternative rock album in its own right

it's been a while since I gave this a listen so my memory is a little hazy but yeah, I think so. it's kinda like this but maybe "heavier", for lack of a better term
the songs they released give a pretty good indication of the overall sound of the album but I think they're probably the weakest tracks on it tbh
edit: yeah Fire is also a really good comparison

honestly pretty much everything on the alchemy indexes seemed like it was done better in small doses on vheissu
the amount of times I've listened to Beggars is like criminally low but I seem to remember it being different
and this one is really no bullshit which is nice but some of the songs are kinda ughhh
