Actually it was iTunes. Damn external disc drive for my laptop doesnt give a shit to work. Second attempt with WMP on my desktop worked fine.

Damn, back in the day WMP was such a buster. It always detected copyright shit and prevented me from ripping anything. Glad they eased back.

Hopelust have you heard of streaming companies like spotify or apple music? You are able to access most music through them for a low monthly price. This way, you avoid needing to borrow CDs and rip them.

Actually .. yes I have heard that one! It was great advice back in the late 90s/early 00s!

Feather, Im not sure if your question was meant sarcastically. Regardless, I'll answer. Yes, ive heard of and occasionally use apple music and spotify. But in most cases (and especially with metal), I prefer a cd-quality rip of an album as my ears tend to get too frustrated to listen to the low-quality streams of either service. I also consider myself a collector, so the more music I physically own, the better.

Hopelust yes, the question was meant sarcastically. When you pay for spotify premium you get higher quality streams, but I get what you are staying. Fair enough collected CDs or Vinyl and stuff, but I never understood electronic collections since they aren't physical. Seems no different than having a streaming service imo.

I did pay for spotify yes, but I still find that it's lacking. I only have an electronic collection so that I can listen to music on-the-go... otherwise i'd still be repping a discman like a chump hahahaha

Dude Discmans were the boss back in the day. I had that yellow Sony one with those behind the head headphones. Best feature about it was the bass boost. Literally the best bass boost I've ever heard in an audio device to this date.

AGREED. I know EXACTLY the bass boost to which you're referring, as well as the headphones!! Sony had the best bass boost.
