Backwards Marathon and Selkies are the only two songs on Alaska (maybe the title track though) that I think are interesting all the way through. A lot of the album turns into a schluck of BTBAMness (say no more) though - which is enjoyable, yes, but not as well put together as TSC or this album.

BTBAMness is best than most ness out there. Colors isn't as bad as u make it out to be waior haha but i agree its the worst one apart from s/t.

Regarding loser American state, They just put the occasional cool part in to regain your attention.

TGM and TSC have much more flow than Alaska and Colors. Like this review says, the wank in the middle of Swim To The Moon ruins the song, but the album as a whole is less wankish. Colors and Alaska are still quality albums...I just think they're less focused.
