Great Album.

Protest have yet to disappoint me from calculated use of sound to Fortress.

All top quality stuff.

wow, im really impressed with this album. Review really helped in making me want to listen to it
its unlike any other vaguely metalcore stuff i have heard...
more melodic in a catchy way, and the guitar is insane!!!

I just bought this today after reading this review. After my initial listen, I love it. It really reminds me of Sikth and Between the Buried and Me so it's right up my alley. Anyways good review you made a fan of me.

I don't think these guys sound like Between the Buried and Me at all.

I do. They're similar in some areas, but overall they aren't that similar. I prefer Protest the Hero.

I think it's the time shifts and some of the guitar riffs. This Message Edited On 05.31.08

The only distinct part in any of their songs that reminds me of BTBAM is the beginning of "Goddess Gagged"

My personal favorite part of The Dissentience is the "Intrepret the law as ageing with its eyesight failing" part. Rody's vocals are maybe at his best there and Arif's bass tapping is just beyond retarded.
