They cant, and anyway they still have a sound of their own. Its only really the debut that sounds like a Sabbath

clone and thats what makes it rule

nah, their first 3 albums sound like an exaggeration of Sabbath's classic era, that's why I dig them in the first place

"they still have a sound of their own"

agreed, after those first 3 albums EW have manage to develop a sound of their own

Is just listening to the albums in order the best way to get into EW?

It is a way, but you can avoid their debut and check fanatics and dopethrone. EW are not very consistent but these two albums are masterpieces of the genre the band represents.

Their first 3 are the best tbh. Debut is really underrated

My Music Appreciation professor says this album was the first one she bought, and it certainly was a great choice.

Sabotage is the one I could most easily get into for some reason

It actually took me quite a while to get into that one. Probably because its their most experimental

Sabotage is proggier and less dark than their other stuff so that probably appeals to certain people

That above and the album is so fukkin groovy, but at the same time Ozzy's voice is actually more off-tune than usual and it kinda becomes a nuisance
