good response. I'm not just dogging on this to dog on this. I honestly think the flaws are so blatant and am surprised more people don't see it.

Like the vocal lines are so poorly written. He basically meanders around a few notes oblivious to the music supporting him and then ends each line with one of a few obvious notes. Then he over dramatically bellows each chorus with "oh look how passionate I am" delivery. And the lyrics are so try-hard that they come across laughable. "Does anybody feel the way I do" is probably written in 80% of 14 year old girls' diaries. His tone isn't terrible but he feels like if he warbles it enough people won't notice that his melodies are flat and lack anything creative.

to me the horrible-ness of this record is less of a technical "his singing is bad" and more that it's just so cringe-worthy how over-dramatic this is... taking something so simplistic and maaaaaaaaaaakiiiiiiiiinnggggggg it sound liiiiiiiiiiiikkkkeeeee this just makes me roll me eyes -- people were surprised by how shitty their later stuff got, but this album really points towards it in many ways, the shittiness and cliches are just coooooooovereeeddddddd up by goiiiiiinnnggg like thiiiiiiiiis and it's annoying

Look to each his own but if you are pointing out this as a flaw you're really missing the point of

that song and the album as a whole imho. From my point of view the song is about losing yourself

because of sleep paralysis and if you read through the album booklet it contains actual accounts of

people that suffered through it. It really takes a toll on chronic sufferers. But like I said to each

his own.
