Really? That’d be disappointing. He’s one of my favorite drummers : /

Gutted that Axe is gone, amazing drummer and his performance on Heritage will always be one of my faves ever.

I thought I was joking, but this seems to be the case. Not sure though.

Right before a tour, reckon he's refused to get vaccinated or something.

Good fucking luck to Karppinen. Can't be easy to jump in with such a short notice.

I'm going to the Atlanta show coming up. Now, I'm curious to see how this drummer does because damn... axenrot's drumming is insane. I have a feeling they sat on this announcement for a minute though and the fill-in has had some time to rehearse these songs

As if you'd compromise your career in a legendary band for something as simple as getting vaxxed

I’m assuming that’s sarcasm because literally so many people are unemployed rn because they refuse to vax

"As if you'd compromise your career in a legendary band for something as simple as getting vaxxed"

I wouldn't be that shocked really. I know bands don't generally wanna air all their personal shit to the public but vague statements will open up speculation. Especially at a time like this, and with them being ready to begin their first tour after the covid stuff where you have to present your vax card or not tour. It's not fair to axe to assume that's what it is but people are going to think that.

But also, touring can suck a lot and I don't think touring, even in a legendary band, is always as glamorous as people think it is

But who knows... maybe Mikael gave an ultimatum about shitting on the tour bus and ax refused to stop shitting on the tour bus

Tough act follow for Sami after Axe's departure. Axe was a beast, one of my fav modern drummers for sure, but kinda excited to see what Sami can bring to the table, especially if he decides to stick around for an album.
