“slowly building and repeating the same thing over and over again, eventually "climaxing" with a light chugging riff with an odd-time signature.”
So true man. That moment I’m tempest is so underwhelming. Tool has always had a sort of light production. But still disappointing

loooool this thread is now awful...3.5ers and 4ers demanding to speak how bad things are, because they saw a "flowerfaggot" rev on youtube. Its my time to leave...once I'm noticing practically all the true lovers of this left as well.

Yea I agree, anyone could have just listened to their previous discog and automatically known how to write and play drums like that.

"Just about ANYONE could have listened to Tool's discog and then written this album themselves."
Lol, and yet here we are, waiting for a new Karnivool album for going on six years now.

"how to write and play drums like that." being skilled at an instrument is different than being a skilled songwriter. The drums are easily the best part of the record, but imagine how much more Danny could have done with more diverse and interesting songwriting to complement his skills

That's why he wrote "write". But yeah, my whole family writes 21/16 riffs all the time, kinda proud of my grandmother. Then again, it's not that special because just about ANYONE could have written that.
(ok, i'm done now)

Imagine indirectly chirping people who join the conversation and give the album a good honest rating just not a 5. Then doing the same thing on other threads lmao. No one is sad if you don’t get to circle jerk boys.

I’ve always wanted Danny to do a guest spot on a Gojira album. I love Mario, but just imagine.

People would complain about how Gojira just ended up sounding like Tool.

Do people think Pigmy Love Circus and Volto! sound like Tool?

The word that comes to mind when I listen to this is tedious. Not great not terrible.

Lol dude, I promise that’s not what I’m doing. I’m just telling DDD that, as a lover of this album, I’m still here as he was saying we had all left. Not chirping you at all. A 4 says that you love this album in my eyes.
