@pheromone It honestly looks like an Odesza album cover which is kinda indicative of the slight electronic/silversun vibes we are getting on the first single. I think the art is fine ... This and simple maths album arts were stellar though.

the album art for Million Masks of God and Black Mile are both phenomenal

Weirdly enough, the man falling image that they are using for Million Masks is VERY similar to the art used for the newest Bright Eyes album. Bright Eyes did it better though.

I like my MO album art grayscale and depressing. The new artwork is decent but I would have preferred some of the other images they flashed in the multi-day teaser leading up to Bed Head. Some of that shit was truly haunting.

Regardless, just happy to be getting new music.

The most underhated record of the '10s; absolutely characterless trash from one of the best alt rock bands of the '00s. Everything that used to be good about them - particular the dynamic songwriting of the first few LPs - is COMPLETELY gone, and it's been replaced with bottom-tier radio indie with legitimately terrible production and passionless vocals.

Whoa! I have not 5’d an album that has stayed at a 5 since this one (2017). I guess I really like it.

Edit:

Well, I do have Laura Stevenson’s Big Freeze (2019) at a 5, but that took awhile. That album hits me in the feels now and is a hard 5 for me.

Yeah Bedhead is great, I’ve been so looking forward to their follow-up. Black Mile sits high among my top 10 albums of the past decade.

@Dylan they recorded an entire counterpart album to simple math back in the day that they never released so they’ve been OMF us demos every couple weeks on their Patreon. Should drop the whole thing at some point but if you pay 5 bucks for their Patreon you can go listen to all the demos now. They are awesome.
