These guys are so damn consistent and this album is timely as hell. That said, didn't hear any massive bangers like Blockbuster Night on this

Walking In The Snow holy fuck

Walking in the Snow into Ju$T is actually insane

if the trajectory of their album covers is any indicator, in three or four more albums their logo will just be two ms paint blobs and i'm all for it

earlier i was predicting that this one would be a photo of el's and mike's actual hands doing the fist and gun thing because i think about these things for some reason.

listening to the new one and basically just coming to the same conclusion as i have on every rtj album which is that i'd like them a lot better if killer mike was replaced with... pretty much anyone else.

He just sounds like a Jurassic 5 reject and, much like Chali 2na, I find his voice suuuuuuper hard to take seriously.

only on my second play through but i was actually thinking it might be Killer Mike's best work yet besides maybe RAP Music. if you don't like KM though ya this is gonna be tough

@mokoto Yeah i really can't stand him. El-P carries this project for me but even in that regard I almost universally prefer his pre-rtj production. i get the appeal is that it's hyphy as shit but i mostly listen to electronic so perhaps due to over-exposure this type of production just isn't very interesting or evocative for me, and it also certainly isn't my favourite backdrop for rap.
I liked ooh la la and that one sound that starts in the middle of walking in snow sounds almost like an early 2000s amon tobin soundscape which is cool

what don’t you like about mike pots?

Definitely. Pre-rtj El-P all the way.

"what don’t you like about mike pots?"
i guess just the ol' combination of his voice, flow, and lyrics coming together in a way that i just do not vibe with at all
|

is rtj the rage against the machine of the 2010's?
|
| |
nah no chance
|

they sound like it sometimes
