Also in terms of genre, this is absolutely the least-dm Ulcerate so far. Their guitar tones have grown thinner and more involved with winding details instead of the more brutish death metal riffs they had on EiF and TDoA (and especially before that). Vermis was already heading away from the death metal riffs for these more involved and winding no-metal riffs they have now, which is sort've its own thing now.
