Black Nurse feels like a more natural opener imo, but at least everyone agrees it ends with Daytona White

gold does flow into vanilla on mine tho? lol
but yea i just jam them separately anyway (altho usually still back to back) since they have pretty different vibes, except on ocg i just move lennon to the front since that works better as an opener and stars works better as a closer

Oops, I read "Natural Born Farmer" after "Gold" lol
They both have very different styles for sure but they sound the same in terms of production/mixing and all of it was recorded in the same garage in the span of a few years. So it's part of the same recording session in my heart haha

5. All Good Junkies Go to Heaven
6. Black Nurse
7. Natural Born Farmer
8. Stars
9. Miracle in Inches
10. Stations of the New Cross
11. Daytona White

idk if I jive with mixing the two tbh, this has impeccable flow as it is and OCG always felt like it ran on a different kind of juice. love love love the aggression on John Lennon, say, but these tracks are so tense and so fleeting in their volatile moments that it'd feel kinda tasteless here (esp as an opener, agreed that Black Nurse is the natural choice here)
actually, maybe there's a good argument for importing All Good Junkies over here, but that's probs as far as it goes; you'd be better off making a goodtimes mix of all the good Glassjaw tracks than trying to wring an album out of these two v distinct EPs (which is now something I v much wanna do)

I listened to the LPs back in college a decade ago, and bought Coloring Book when it came out, but I never really knew about the singles. Recently bought them and totally reignited my interest in Glassjaw (I haven't heard Material Control either). I'm gonna spin these together and try out your tracklist suggestions

With the re-emergence of Glassjaw, Coloring Book provides a reincarnation of their sound.

Loads. Never Born, Never Dead for Trophy Scars. Either Zombie releases for TDWP. Sometimes people say Kindred for Burial or slow riot for gybe,

It's actually hilarious to me how obviously influenced by Chino, Daryl was on this EP specifically. Many of his vocal lines straight up sound like melodies Chino would come up with, he even does his best impression of Chino's signature "Woo" on Black Nurse a few times, which I'm pretty sure he hasn't done before.
Not a knock on him of course, EP is dope.
