Yeah I severely underestimated these guys. Quickly becoming a new favorite band, just like Manchester Orchestra, Thrice, and Brand New did when I started listening to those bands in the past year.

Agreed. I was reading back at some earlier posts and Ten got dumped on, or just ignored quite a bit. It was one of the least memorable songs my first listen or two, but it’s actually becoming one of my favorites here now.

Totally, I knew them from seeing oddly placed adverts in Habbo Hotel in 2001. And then I heard The Middle on the radio a bunch. Assumed they were purely pop rock/stadium rock bros. Then in about 2007-8 or so I did my research and started with their back catalog and was blown away.

Yeah man, I’m pumped about going through the rest of their discog! Quite a few albums. Exciting times.
I’m going chronologically from here, but I’ll circle back to Static at the end.

I think the run from "12.23.95" to "For Me This I Heaven" maybe the best four song stretch ever.

So jealous of the fact that you’re going to be able to hear 23 for the first time.

Gonna spin Bleed American in an hour or two. Still listening to this almost daily too.

Man, I'm so invested your journey through this band I wish you were writing a blog about it.

Oh yeah and as to Lender's comment, it's cool that you're so into Clarity, but still have yet to hear their most universally-acclaimed song, 23. In fact, you'd also do well to ignore the sput average ratings, as MANY fans (including myself) consider Futures to be their best album (or at least closely tied).

Bleed American is sounding damn good so far, but Clarity still feels better.

Can't disagree there, Lark. BA is a super nostalgic and sentimental record to me but this is the better album overall.

Gonna spend at least a week on BA, sounds like a strong 4, but looking forward to Futures.

So here I am
Above palm trees
So straight and tall
You are smaller, getting smaller
But I still see you...
