both bands at least had some killer singles for sure. Slippery When Wet isn't a great album but the singles are all pretty awesome.
as for GNR... only jammed singles, actually. so i dunno! Maybe I'm missing some greatness. always thought Slash was a great guitarist.

And yeah, Sabbath > most glam bands; although I do dig some Skid Row, Dokken and Tesla myself.

You're basically missing their best stuff. Most of the songs on Appetite that aren't singles > any of their singles.
