Hey, so, until the album is made legally available, be it by steam or whatever, are we not allowed to post reviews at all? Or can we, and just not have them featured until physical-release day?

Goodbye is dreadful. It has the subtlety of a cinder block, and by that point in the album, we've already had more than enough reminders of how much they miss rip paul.
Lech and Skeptic are cool I guess. Neither leave much of an impression on me.

Don't take people giving thoughts that differ from yours as them talking down your opinion. You brought up a song, and I gave my feelings on it. It wasn't a counter-point or anything.

Signing on here for the first time in months, holy fuck, agree with tres about the praise for the new album. Mostly every song rules hard. There are only two really awkward things about it for me - the lyrics on Skeptic are so straight forward and blah that it becomes kind of irritating to listen to, which sucks because musically that track is pretty cool. Also, the lyric "don't let this symbolism kill your heart" REALLY takes me out of that track, moreso than other cheesy lyrics for some reason. Basically, if Corey just fixed his fucking lyrics then I would have essentially no complaints.

Yeah, it was a pretty lazy interlude when considering the creepy atmosphere of their past works, but honestly that's not even close to being as big of a deal as the lyrics are for me. There are a lot of great lines, agreed, but the shitty ones are just too apparent. I'd probably put it at a 4.5 if it wasn't for those lyrics, which is saying a lot because I wouldn't 4.5 any other Slipknot album, but I think it's more of a 4 for now. I definitely feel better about how much fucking money I spent on tickets to see them after listening to this.

nah, pretty sure you have to wait until it's released/streamed before you can submit a review for it or it will be taken down. When/if there is a stream, no reviews will be featured until the album is released (US date).

Even though Slipknot's writing is as simple as they come, I've always enjoyed their work.
I think nostalgia has got me by the balls :/

I wouldn't say the new album 'pushes them into new territory', it mostly kinda just feels like a combination of all their work thus far.
