I'm surprised how entertaining the first five tracks are, truly great stuff, but I have to admit, from Clouded on I still use to lose track of what happens on here.

@Spado That's what I thought but it's nice to have it confirmed. I think I'll concentrate on the first half for now and get to the rest when I feel like it. Don't want to rush it. But the first twenty minutes are really excellent so far.

I don't know, every time I play this, I tend to jam it all in one listen. Equally good stuff.

I prefer jamming this in one sitting too, but it's understandable why one would need a break sometimes.

I usually just jam the first four tracks in my free time.

whenever I start an album, I have to finish it, it's a rule of mine. but yeah I could see this being more difficult to take in in one listen.

He was a big guy, probably should've stuck with shotput or discuss.
I'm surprised this guy never really got that much attention. I feel like the entire Obscura lineup is pretty underrated.

fucking hard. what boggles my mind is that the drummer didn't do ANYTHING else iwth any other bands (except for a bit of negativa). and it's easily one of the greatest drum performances on any metal album ever...like wtf

Without question the band's tour-de-force, though it is sometimes matched in quality by the next two albums. My highlights from this would be the title track, "Earthly Love" and "The Sombre Art of Ecstasy". The whole album is consistently brilliant however, so you could virtually pick any song as a favourite. It gets a little similar towards the end, but not enough for it to lose any credibility.
