Invisible kid riffs hard, man, still play that verse riff all the time lol.

said it before but when they've played some of these songs live in recent years they sound great. wish they would do it more tbh.

some of these were the first songs I ever learned on guitar, because they're simple but heavy and groovy.

Honestly, never having thought about it before, but a common problem with bad metal albums is clunky riffage. St Anger has tons of problems but the riffs are surprisingly pretty good.

I just spun this for the first time ever today out of sheer curiosity. It's not great, but not downright awful, I guess. A lot of low points for a few high points.

One glaring issue, though (besides Lars's Cuisinart drum kit): why are the songs so goddamn long??

I actually have so many questions but I'm sure they've been asked before so I won't bother here

luckily for you all answers can be found in the some kind of monster documentary. seriously it's amazing and a must watch. unintentionally hilarious, sad, bizarre. i still can't believe it was released.

I read a bit of the background on Wikipedia for fun, and it is indeed amazing that the album even exists. I'll try to check out that documentary if I have time, thanks for the rec!

Yeah you gotta respect the balls of them to release it. I'd definitely not be comfortable to be so vulnerable on video.
