This is probably back to being my favorite Converge album. I do like the dynamic production on the later ones but the songwriting here kills, every song has something awesome to offer and also “fault and fracture” is just forever

I actually prefer Halo in a Haystack, would listen to that instead of No Heroes at literally any time

No Heroes is just the wrong kind of chaotic, and literally gives me a headache bar a few tracks

It's my least favorite post-Jane album but your mileage may vary.

i mean i think its understandable to call it the worst of their later stuff

but to call it the worst period

i mean halo in a haystack was not very good, and the idea that no heroes would be worse than that doesnt sit well with me

but like i said i really want a relisten

I'm referring to Dusk in Us. You said you hadn't heard the newest one and I was saying it's their worst post-Jane Doe record.

Nah no heroes is definitely worse than dusk. I really don't like Jacob's vocals on the entire thing apart from Lonewolves and Trophy Scars

I forget who said it (might have been pixiesfanyo), but No Heroes suffers more from a poor tracklist order. Most of the songs individually are solid, although the mix needs some love.

Blimey, Dusk is vastly inferior to No Heroes. Dusk is like a by-the-numbers sick puppy parodying old ‘Verge in comparison. No Heroes isn’t perfect but it has the classic chaos & balls in spades.
