I feel like I listened to this once ages ago and never returned to it... I'll definitely give it another listen soon, considering the reception it gets on here

I have been trying to make an album like this for one year and all I have is one cover song and one original. Gonna take twenty years to make an inferior version of this. Worth it.

^ye they only did one more press with I wanna say 2 different colors. Odd is even more expensive cuz I think it was only pressed on the 10 year anniversary. 20 yr anniversary for that is next year tho. They did like 150 records for their demo on a Halloween but it sold out instantly.

I was just getting into vinyl when it coincidentally dropped so it's one of my more treasures records. I'm still after the demo though and waiting for the s/t.

Same!
I’ve always really liked Art Damage and a few songs from this, but need to give it more time
Saw these guys back in 09 and they were great, so I’m surprised I haven’t listened to this more, especially with all the SputHype over the years

I'm bored this morning and listening to this album again so let's do this:
S: Ten Seconds in LA, Drowning The Old Hag, Mouth, Lycanthropy, A Brief Tutorial in Bachanalia, Dog Sized Bird
A: High As A Horse, My (F***king) Deer Hunter, Complete and Utter Confusion, Taking Cassandra,
B: The Waiting Makes Me Curious, Absolute Past, As a Result of Signals Being Crossed, A Gift For Fiction,
Dog Sized Bird is kind of an outlier pick but the vocal interplay sounds really cool on the headphones I have, and the lyrics are solid. Love the sequencing between both High As A Horse/Dog Sized Bird and Drowning The Old Hag/Mouth and almost always listen to those together.
Also damn this album is hard af to rank. Thought it would be easy but it took me a while to figure it out. And Absolute Past would be S tier if it had a better ending.

Dog Sized Bird is S tier for me too, probably, idk this would be incredibly hard to rank
and yeah re ^ there, this has always been highly regarded as far as I can tell, although there were definitely people who veered more towards the intensity and relatively straight-forward sound of Art Damage. I remember arguing for this being their peak back in 2008 or whenever it was that I discovered it. I don't have any concept of an overall consensus or anything, just a couple of isolated convos

Cool to see other people like Dog Sized Bird too. Everyone I've shared that with irl has told me it's dogshit.
