see, that's just the thing. The Room was memorable for its flaws. If it was just "meh" would people even still talk about it? There's even new adaptations coming.

this isn’t the fun kind of awful sadly
|
| |
I guess. If your work is only ever discussed because it’s shit all over, does it matter if it’s talked about at all? Seems like low self-esteem to be grateful that people are just talking about it at all if that’s all that comes from it

I mean true that but this is more of a mixed/polarizing reception than a universal "dogshit"
The spot in the middle is the most interesting to me. This is the "Amo" reception. Some love it, others hate it, but especially in BMTH's case it's them just doing whatever they want.
|
| |
I suppose. I don’t think is compelling in an artistic sense, musically or thematically, to make a polarising reception mean much, it’s more like “oh, it sounds like turds being gargled by a gorilla.” But that’s also just my opinion, so others could find it compelling in some way too. I dunno. I think while it’s polarising, it’s also polarising in a shallow, more shock value way that doesn’t provide much more than that

“Anyone else like Kim Ki Duk?”
Used to be one of my favorites, but hasn’t aged all that well for me. feels like sometimes he uses silence as a cheap stab at profundity rather than saying all that much, but still have a lot of affection for a couple of his things, The Isle in particular

never thought a sleep token thread would turn to tsai and yang but im here for it
