Sad Wings is certainly their best album. This one is great but the only song I can remember from it off hand is Painkiller.

yeah I'm re-jamming it now and apart from t/t and a couple of other tracks, this is not as great as I remembered.

Hell Patrol is a banger. Every song on here is a banger.

I was five weeks old when this dropped...born during the subliminal messaging trial that delayed its release. Crazy shit.

Painkiller was insane when it first came out, but I think most of that had to do with the context of the band. JP had a near-decade slum of mediocre-at-best albums, and then they suddenly out of nowhere put out their heaviest, meanest, most insane album to date long after their prime. Everyone kinda agreed that they were on their way out. It’d be like Metallica or Slayer suddenly releasing some Demolition Hammer shredfest in 2020 that rivaled MOP or RIB.

I still prefer Sad Wings and Stained to this honestly

So apparently Don Airey said in an interview that he was the one who played the bass throughout the whole album

It's interesting, didn't know he also played the bass

Who else is here from brutal legend? I bought the game fresh off the shelf on release on october 13th 2009 and im so glad people can experience this game and all of its soundtrack and amazing visuals on the gamepass, this game was a cult classic sleeper hit for heavy metal in a game thats never been matched to date IMO
