SitA is better, and this is lovely. And though Funeral is certainly her most melodramatic song, it's still my go to downer tune. Like: everything that day has gone horribly awry, play Funeral and feel strangely okay.

Those lines would have sounded a lot better if her voice didn't sound so fucking samey and one-dimensional all the time. I really enjoy this album and Stranger in the Alps, but Bridgers' vocal delivery and (lack of) inflections are still the one big hurdle that I can't quite get past. It sucks because the music is of such high quality. I also have the same problem with a lot of Julien Baker's stuff as well, but at least she emotes a bit more

Is this really the best reflection of the calibre of insight phoebe sets for her music? Can't say I paid much attention to her lyrics so I don't know, but thats some petri dish depth right here
