Hip-hop tends to be a very overrated genre per se. But this is actually good.

Yeah, I'm not sure what he means by that. Also, this is pretty shitty.

I'm glad its not TPAB, but I was hoping that would make it good by default. It did not.

Couple bangers, though.

Favourite part right now is that "Goddamn us aaaaall" and instrumental section at the end of Pride. First verse and hook on YAH. are up there, too.

The first verse of Yah is a vibe yea. Kendrick's flow and delivery on God is dope too.

Feel pride and lust are probly my tops. Yah is up there too, the beats so good and reminds me of cocoa butter kisses
A lot of hip hop is super overrated, but not really on this website

Kendrick might be considered "mainstream" but he is the only current mainstream rapper that's a true artist. Sure this album has its commercial tracks, but lyrically Kendrick is as true and honest as ever. Tracks like FEEL, PRIDE, LUST, and FEAR really standout to me.

Hey look I'm Kendrick: "godsy mc god lordy save me lord god bible compton god our savior in heaven lord jesus god"

Would love to see him rhyme over these beats without religion as a crutch. Just talk about your fucking breakfast or something. He's super talented, but listening to a lot of less mainstream rap as I do, you get used to people being a bit more inventive with their subject matter. We get it, you believe in the Christian god.

Not hitting the highs of his last two for me at all, but still a tight record.

TPaB is a step backwards not only in his career but a 20-year one in hiphop history, shit's outdated af. Who gives a shit about the themes or the story when stuff's a boring snoozefest.

Inb4 racist.

This is the album he NEEDED to make.
