Yay, Pop punk surrounded by a somber mood and reverb. Really, why all the acclaim? The lyrics are even sometimes laughable. It certainly isn't groundbreaking, it's catchy, sure but all of that doesn't matter after the 3rd listen. All your left with is a handful of great songs surrounded by predictable songwriting and mediocre pop hooks from a vocalist who sounds the same every song. I feel Thrice made better music than this in the genre. Why don't they get all the acclaim? Dustin Kensrue is a much better Singer/Songwriter and lyricist than Jessie. He also doesn't write the same song 12 times in a row...

I never said Brand New sucks. This is a great album. And Thrice does not suck, they aren't amazing but they are pretty good.

I agree. People only like it because they fell in love with it in the 7th grade and they can't grow up and see how average it truly is. There are three breathtaking songs on it. Jesus and You Won't Know and Handcuffs. The rest range from good to flat out unbearable. Like the horrible Untitled and Millstone.
