I might actually have to put this above anything DGD have done. Imo they don't have any moments that compare to the end of Casino Columbus, or Day 54, or Muther, but Downtown Battle Mountain is more consistent song-for-song

As far as the post-hardcore debate goes, I think the essential goal is to create an album that encompasses musical influences from both ends of the spectrum. If an album (like W&T) can be split down the middle between between ambient melody and chaotic outbursts of rage, then it is a perfect example of the genre.
