everything is good but this is his peak. I dont mind admitting that there's some weird possibly extra-musical sense of Importance and community to this album (even though the album is hardly "community"-minded in sonics) that makes it appeal to me even more

I “got into” reading about music online and listening to it from In Rainbows so this is one of the first albums I hit when I started looking for the most acclaimed albums of 2007, and therefore one of the first albums I discovered on the internet. Either way tho it hit immediately and was a completely new sound to me. But I get that some of the beats are a little less...feeling? Like “etched headplate” (the longest and possibly the weakest)
Man the debut is so good too. Haven’t heard “state forest”; when I looked into my heart of hearts I was like “Rival Dealer ain’t all that” but I’ll give everything another try this guy is so good

Street Halo and Kindred are very good. “Rough Sleeper” is one of my favorite Burial songs. So I’ll get around to that Tunes compilation for sure. But he hit it so hard on these albums. I feel like the rave-from-outside-the-venue vibe is especially strong with the s/t
