Nah Ocean Machine would be terrible tbh, Devy's got such a distinctive and quirky sound that it would probably turn a lot of people off

The thing about the vocals is that I think the music on something like this is really accessible and beautiful and would probably negate whatever the listener doesn't like about the vocals. Really depends on the person though I guess

lmao Colors would send people running screaming from the room

maybe some Howard-era KSE would be good tho, his cleans choruses are awesome

Yeah, it's not like the vocals are the only that's going on.

definitely Deftones then even if they're on the cusp of metal. Ive managed to get about 5 friends of both genders into Deftones now, way more then I can say about any other band

Deftones are very easy to get into, so yeah.

Tbh Opeth got me into extreme metal. I hated the growls at first, and only listened to Burden and whatnot for weeks lol

I dunno, Ocean Machine has a lot of radio-friendly happiness to it. "Life" is a pretty up-beat and accessible track, for ex.

I know its purely anecdotal evidence and inductive reasoning etc etc but Children of Bodom got me and several other people i know irl into metal, as well as a lot of people here it seems. This was literally before I even heard metallica or sabbath when i was like 8 so they may be the dark horse here

From the way the singles are shaping out, Im starting to get a feeling Kodama may top this.
