This is so close to a 5. I thought tracks 7 and 8 kept the album back just a little. This album has perhaps my favorite opener (and possibly first 3 songs) and closer combination on anything I can think of in recent memory. The Battle of Hampton Roads is one of my favorite songs ever. It could have been released as a single and been a 5.

Its turgid and dead, befitting its subject matter I guess. Review makes a solid comparison to the Boss though.

I never really fell in love with the album in the same way that many clearly have, but The Battle Of Hampton Roads is one of the best closers I've ever heard.
