I liked the direction it took on Kurt as a person, rather than the musician.

Out of his mind on skag being screeched at by the harpie Courtney Love while at home with the family is a bit of a slap in the face.

The realisation that your idols are pitiful, weak, selfish hypocrites who are no better than the morons they berate is always a crippling disappointment.

I always throw this one out once in awhile but when it comes to this band, are there better artists? Of course there are. Better albums? Definitley. More direct assertive anger? Without a shadow of doubt. More influence? Without question. More of an impact on a questionable young confused boyteen. Nothing comes close.

23yrs later the 'experience' of hearing Lithium for the first time while it was happening in 'real time' is completely incomparable.

Honestly I always felt that the hits (other than Come As You Are) were the weak points.

Smells Like Teen Spirit, In Bloom, and Lithium are blatantly the bottom 3 honestly.
