Does anybody here get moved by the My dad's favorite novel on top of the pile, in the self conscious first light shake the memory of his smile part in The Nervous Light of Sunday?

The only part that still moves me is the part like: "to stand so tall when in fact in ruins..." I kind of don't really like this album, which seems weird for me...

That's interesting. I used to detest this album, but I've sort of grown a fondness for it, defined by small, yet memorable moments(due to the constant shifting and randomness of the album, it tends to work in that manner).

Of course the vocals are incredibly awkward sounding, but I've also managed to get over that.

Btw, I completely relate to your statement concerning interview at the ruins.

I'm all for small, tender moments, but this is so fucking pretentious, I can't enjoy it nearly as much as I should be able to. I used to have this at a 5 actually, but over time it has actually become laughably ridiculous to me. The lyrics, the "cowardly faggot" vocals, everything just kinda makes me want to laugh when I listen to this. It's a strange thing, I don't think there is another album that I feel this way about.

Your pie chart is so awesome, 50/50 emo and post-hardcore. That's cool even though this and Emery are equally overrated representations of those genres. And idk, I just don't like this.

The Underdark, The Old Road and City of Caterpillar are all easily better than this I think.

I still think this is better than all the other Emo I have heard, but I think second for me is either City of Caterpillar or A Dead Sinking Story by Envy.
