To Bid You Farewell is one of their most different, and their best ballad, I also love how Under The Weeping Moon jams out on acoustic guitar for the whole middle section.

Pretty much his. The music itself is pretty decent on those two albums, the songs just don't feel very cohesive. This will probably piss a lot of people off, but Black Rose Immortal is one of the worst offenders. The song feels so disjointed that it is not even enjoyable to me.
To Bid You Farewell though. By far one of the greatest songs Mikael's ever written.

Morningrise is far from perefect and certainly disjointed in places (Black Rose Immortal being the biggest offender in that regard) but it's still easily my second favourite Opeth.

I absolutely love this album. When I was in high school Morningrise was my favorite by them because I loved the guitar work. As I got older though, I believe it to be a great but flawed album.
