New album isn't as good as this but I don't understand how people who liked this don't like Time (well maybe I do because sputnik) but it's really like a small sidestep that still walks parallel with this - its slightly different in some aspects but extremely similar in others. The orchestration is way, way more prevalent and clean vox are used a lot more, but underneath it all its still essentially what we have here.
I do agree, though, that the album is too short for how long it took to produce. Fucking 40 minutes for 8 years - that's 10 minutes of music for every 2 years of work.
I'll have it reviewed early next week.

The album honestly should have just been released as a whole, no matter how bloated it would have felt. This just isn't enough, though it's definitely solid.

the reason i'm so lukewarm towards time is because there's only one good track on it excluding the intro
time and land of snow and sorrow just don't go anywhere and could have been halved in time

I pretty much agree. Sons of Winter and Stars is honestly the only thing that's really stuck with me after 3 listens, and even then it's not nearly as good as Starchild, Death and the Healing, etc. Not that any of the songs are bad at all, just... not nearly as tight or interesting as the stuff on here.
