Been super stressed out about school but listening to 1979 has me feeling all happy even if the song has a melancholic mood to it

This is one of those albums where the imperfections just make it even more perfect

It's one of those albums (one of the few) that actually deserves being a double album

It's the heaviest Pumpkins song, which is a feat if not anything else, heavier than XYU

Nah XYU is def heavier, especially with Billy's aggressive ass vocals on top of those riffs

Nah, Tales is both consistently heavier and has heavier highs

XYU builds to it's heaviness so it seems heavier, but nope

"XYU builds to it's heaviness so it seems heavier, but nope"

There's more to heaviness than riffs; it has thick tension throughout and Billy has a very distressed and angry tone in his voice and obviously there's a lot of times he tries screaming rather than yelling like he usually does on the more agressive SP songs. Tales has thick bassy riffs and distorted, yelled vocals but that's just about it; it doesn't have much in the way of atmosphere or emotion that even touches XYU and its one of the loudest songs on the album production-wise anyway while XYU isn't as compressed and loud

heavier usually refers to louder/harsher/screamier, not more intense
