Only listened to a couple of songs from this but I've gotten much more of a death metal vibe from them compared to previous albums, how off am I

it's hard to expect more from a band that has been in an entire league of their own since dei like they really have nothing else to prove to us they've done it all and arguably better than anyone else

Smae. Though I would love to see one more continuous album in the same vein as C33 prior to them calling it quits.

2 times was enough, nothing worth revisiting on here, ill stick with None or DEI and especially Chaosphere, their pinnacle, but this album is Mehshuggah

not even trying....dude this is the band that makes their music so complex that they have to put it on a computer to change the tempos and time signatures just to relearn how to play it that way lol

"their pinnacle"

They did that in 2008 imo with a few exceptions track wise (Behind the Sun, Clockworks)

Swedish metal bands have really been consistent for the past few album release cycles.
