I'm currently at Savage Lands. It's definitely not bad. Perhaps 3.5 over a 4 yeah. It's still pretty solid for a double LP

I’m going for a 3.5, their best since Skye but it definitely needs trimming by half hour at least.

I need to revisit this band and check their last albums to can rate them. But, to do that, I needed a bit more time. I'll see what I can do.

I absolutely loved this band, then they released Hunter, I saw them at Brixton on the tour for it and they were completely lifeless and I lost interest.

Skye still gets a listen once a year.

Expected a lot more from this. Really not good at all and just as shitty as the previous 2 tbh. Anyone putting this on the level of the first 4 is smoking meth lol.

I'm currently feeling like Once More Round is their best since Skye

I must have had a great palate cleanser going on right now because I'm spinning this for the first time and this is actually kicking ass for me

I think this is one of their better albums out of the more recent outings.

it's got bangers, but ultimately it's worst than Emperor. that being said, the only bands that I know of that actually pulled off great double sided albums late in their career were the Peppers with Stadium Arcadium and Soilwork with The Living Infinite. idk what's with these geezers and lack of quality control in terms of, the older they get, the more bloated the albums get. doesn't it make sense that when the well runs dry creatively you should trim the fat as much as possible and stick with only the bangers? I think an amazing 40 min album could be made out of this

I'm not gonna get through all of it tonight but I just finished The Beast and it's been seriously impressive, I just didn't care for More Than I Could Chew

The Beast is a definite highlight.

Agree with second part of your paragraph Storm but citing Emperor as better and Stadium Arcadium as a great double album... jeezo, no

Emperor of Sand isn't a bad album though.

sure, but why not go listen to Blood Mountain instead?

(the answer being, of course, "I already listened to BM twice today")

Pika, you'd choose The Hunter and Once More 'Round the Sun over Emperor?
