Agree with that whole Kai / Titan back and forth hard. I'd be hard pressed to choose against Aces High, but Caught Somewhere in Time would be the one to do it.

This is the definition of an absolute stone bonker classic. Every song is amazing and the best songs are unbeatable. Doesn’t get much better, best metal album of all time.

Crazy, but I’ve never really listened to these guys aside from a few songs.

Would this be a good place to start? Powerslave? Or any better suggestions?

Go Chrono, immerse yourself in the rebellious Paul Di'anno era and contemplate the glorious rise of that immortal being known as Bruce Dickinson with Number of the Beast. Embrace ecstasy with Somewhere in Time and 7th Son of a 7th Son, the best heavy metal albums ever conceived... then keep going, treading carefully through Fear of the Dark and stop immediately when you get to Blaze Bayley's (or however is spelled) Maiden, (any album with an X on it) and skip immediately to Brave New World. From there it will be a long way down with a few bumps of moderate excitement.

Ha, I’m gonna start with this and Powerslave — if I’m into it, I’ll start back at the beginning and move chronologically.

Sounds good to me, Lark.

Paul Di'anno fans will burn you on a cross though.

What Dewinged said, that man can do no wrong

My suggestion is their first 7 albums in any order. They are all amazing with 5/5 songs on every one.

Never listened to Maiden. But fuck, this is a really great album. Gonna tackle their entire discog soon. Gotta finish Jimmy Eat World, then gonna go through American Football’s albums and I’ll start on Maiden.

Are there really any Maiden albums I should skip? I know there are some lower rated ones, but are any of them actually bad?

But they only have 3 bad albums so it's up to you if you want to complete the discog

It's more than 3 since their albums after Brave New World aren't good either.
