The lyrics are so interesting too. I love the juxtaposition between Maria and Ferdinand, being analogues of Aaron's own perceived wickedness and how that ties into his religion. Also love lines like "Early cartography sea creature dragon and all", which refers to the drawings in centuries-old maps, when much was still unknown about the earth and maps of the seas had accompanying monsters. Lines like these sometimes seem strange at first glance, but he employs meaning behind most of what he sings. It's fun to dissect his writing.

My love for this album grows each time I listen to it. The lyrics on Wendy & Betsy are some of Aaron's best "Though I'd never physically hurt you I do know some Arabic prayers"

Seriously though, great album. Are there people who don't like 'Flee'? My favourite tracks from this might be the weakest consensus wise then, 'New Wine' got a little bit of flack earlier in the thread, although I have seen people come around to it also.

Me too in a hype sense. But then it earned it. I first heard it sometime in September and I still can't go a day without at least listening to 3-4 songs from it. If I have a long enough drive to make, I always spin the entire thing.
