It is very safe to say. If you didn't like the direction of this, I advise burying your hopes and saying your piece now. In fact 2 of the 3 singles seem to show the new album moving in an even more 'poppy', 'catchy' direction, while the 1st single seems to be moving in an even weirder, experimental version of whatever the hell this was.
I for one am still cautiously excited, but I did 5 this sooooooo

I'd usually agree for sure re: Midwest emo bands, the world doesn't need anymore. However, Conor has a literally perfect voice for it so I can understand people missing it. I personally just wish they'd do a little more to integrate the Midwest emo stuff and this instead of having everything on such a strict axis now
