I wonder how many of those African neck rings he could fit around that thing. I'd say 40+ with an educated guess

All I could think watching that band between their hunched over/contorting his body bald bass player and their string bean mile long neck guitar player is this looks like a band of weird dinosaurs

It was definitely metal af but I was not prepared for it. I just tried to lose myself watching saint merat and not look at the guitar player. after a while in the light the bass player started to look like the thing from splice

Finally 5'ed this. I just cannot get enough of this LP, every time I give it a re-listen I notice small things that makes me love the record even more. Think this might be AOTY for my sake.

I don't think it's right to call this death metal.. is it? Doom ish stuff? post metal a little bit? Help me out guys.
|

it's definitely tech dm; stylistic comparisons can be drawn to post-metal but they are not by any means a post-metal band. they sound most like immolation and gorguts, who are both death metal, if non standard.

I dig Gorguts as of late too. Wish it was as well produced as this is. Pleides Dust kinda is better than Colored Sands in that regard. I'll have to check out Immolation. When I think of tech death I think Revocation naturally.
