Some of this "genuine psychopathy" reminded me of Glassjaw's Daryl Palumbo on W&T.

I kinda understand the comparison to Ire Works since both of these records are the most experimental TDEP has done in their discog.

yeah going back to ire works i was like "why was I always so adamant this is their 'worst'" not that they have a bad record, but that shit is g o o d. love the electronic elements. it's very tastefully done

yeah revisiting ire works made me bump my rating from a 3.5 to a 4.5.

Mouth of Ghosts is so fucking good. 82588 and Party Smasher are both some of their better short tracks, and the electronic elements are more seamless than they are on dissociation, considering Fugue is more of a “one and done” where as on Ire Works they permeate the whole record.

I’d say Ire Works is definitley their most misunderstood record, and for sure their most cohesive.

I am still confused about the intro of the Prancer video...I mean, this is the definition of swan songs.

I much prefer city but alien is possibly the most visceral, deranged vocal performance ever, which I guess is what this reminds me of

Gotta hear Alien and City now. Only ever heard The New Black and was indifferent to it.

I actually prefer Alien to City but they’re both about equal and amazing.
