It’d be cool to see him start something completely new but I don’t think any further Opeth material is necessary at this point, fans of the newer material would obviously disagree mind.

Even tho fans were surprised by Storm Corrosion, I feel like a lot of people really liked it and would appreciate a follow-up. Only time will tell if one will happen. I'm just grateful the first one was made.



Wasn't Damnation basically the acoustic album you guys are talking about? Though I know there's a lot of clean electric guitar there too.

not really. damnation is a full band effort whereas still day and patterns 2 is basically just akerfeldt recording by himself. in fact I'm pretty sure he did those two tracks alone in a couple different apartments.
